Sea Smoke

This image was made in January of 2004. The water and air temperature were not even close. The air temp. was -9 degrees F and the water temp. was around +40 degrees F. I missed the sunrise which was spectacular with the warm light but the light was still gorgeous at 9:00 A.M. The thing that makes this shot is the way the smoke rises up and creates clouds above the water. I shot this again a year later earlier in the day and the wind was stronger so the clouds did not form as well. A nice shot but not nearly as strong. No digital magic here just a good solid image.
